Subject: BBC B + 128

Hi All

I'm sure my BBC+ was 128k before I started removing excess ROMs.

Looking at the circuit diagrams, it has the additional component 161 (64k)
on the right hand side but the BBC reports only 64k

Does this sound correct? If 64k is not being reported, could this be that
the ADFS I fitted does not have the SRAM commands inbuilt (I'm thinking like
the Master design here) and hence cannot 'see' the other 64k?

There are two sockets beneath the ROMs which I understand are not suitable
for additional ROMs but hard to see what they are for from the technical
manual .TIF files

I have two ROMs which appear to be VIEW 3 although they are not labelled.
Other ROMs include COBOL, BASIC, etc.

Now that I think about it, SRAM 1.02 might be missing from the ROM listing
under *help

The existing DFS (removed) did have a label saying 'modified B+ DFS' if that
helps, but I have another confession - I broke a pin off the ROM so that
seems to have had it. I would really like to stick with the ADFS if I can
get away with it though.

Do ROMs like the ADFS 'clash' with existing management ROMs like some kit
does with a PC?

John
