Personally, I have now given up using Xfer since I picked up an old RiscPC
and discovered !DFS for RiscOS.
It lets you read and write BBC DFS format floppies.
Now I transfer files from PC to BBC via a two step floppy copy.
Old A3000s go for around a tenner on eBay (I think these can read PC disks
too?) - seems to be worth it to avoid the problems getting Xfer to run on a
PC that doesn't want to play ball.
