RE:   Accessing ArcBBS remotely over Econet

A couple of points to mention to Hugo Fiennes:

As ArcTerm7 can access a remote modem over the Econet by talking to a
program, !7Modem, running on the machine with the modem, it should be
possible for ArcTerm7 to talk to ArcBBS to allow remote local login over the
network.  ArcBBS could itself pretend to be a modem server, providing a
virtual modem that talks directly to ArcBBS, or a version of the local login
program, the talks over the network instead of to the local keyboard/screen.

Also, is the protocol used by !7Modem Acorn TIP (Terminal Interface
Protocol) compatible? (cf TCP/IP Programmer's Guide, pn 0484,003)  That is,
do you have a protocol module that interfaces between the Acorn TIP protocol
and the Econet communication with !7Modem?

Could you provide programming details of the communication protocol used by
!7Modem?
