Original convention:
0           - local network
1   upwards - Econet
128 upwards - Ethernet
255         - Broadcast

Full layout:
&00         - local network (priority Econet, SerialNet, Ethernet)
&01 upwards - Econet
&70 upwards - SerialNet
&80 upwards - Ethernet
&FC upwards - Broadcasts when station is &FF
    &FC.&FF - 
    &FD.&FF - Local Broadcast, up to 1020 bytes of data
    &FE.&FF - 			up to 1020 bytes of data
    &FF.&FF - Global Broadcast, 8 bytes of data

Broadcasts with non-uniform destination
Eg,
 NetTx to 1.255 will be receivable by any machine on network 1.
 NetTx to 255.6 will be receivable by all station 6s on any network. 
 NetTx to 255.255 will be receivable by any machine on any network.
