(the machines used for examaning
pipes ect. on the sea bed)

He's worked with a lot of custom built stuff but it wasn't too long before
be came across a "Trogan." This vehicles uses a BBC-B without a keyboard,
no BASIC or DFS,OS 1.2,a special ROM to control information overlays and
cameras connected to a series of monitors. So there you have it, it's
definately possible don't ask me how though. I could try and get a copy of
the ROM.

The rest of the team were hysterical when they learned that they could hook
a keyboard up and go into BASIC displaying across their video cameras. As a
joke an amusing alternative overlay message was put on display for the
supervisor's benefit, he was furious! :-)

Acorn Archimedies are also used offshore for a veriety of control
applications.

Andy & Spook.

--- ARCbbs RISC OS [1.64á32c]
 * Origin: Arcade - The Definitive Acorn BBS +44 181 655 4412 (2:254/27)
