So a quick test with most of the setup I'll be bringing - the A3020 plus a 
CRT VGA monitor, and the BBC B and B+, with a Cub and Sony CRT TV
respectively
gives a total VA or 'apparent power' reading on the power meter of around
380VA
(around 1.5A)
Interestingly (and possibly influencing the kit I'll bring!) the VGA
monitor on
the A3020 is drawing well over a third of that power. The Cub takes around
100VA,
and is probably the second biggest consumer. The (much more modern) Sony
CRT TV
is 60VA, and the BBCs are 30VA each.
The A3020 seems to be very efficient - I think its well under 20VA.
The plug top PSUs for my Ethernet switch and Econet clock are 10VA for
both, and the
PSU for my floppy drives is 10VA. 

If other setups were similar (I'm sure many will be more power hungry,
especially any
with modern ineffecient PCs), then you could get around 20 times the setup
I tested off
a single 30A ring main (which incedentally would need 160 power points!)
