Subject: BBC connected to LDC-television via SCART

Hi.

It seems to be a bit hit and miss with some screens working okay, and others
giving horrendous interference. The ones that cause the trouble seem to be
having issues with earthing, as if you manually earth the PSU to the earth
of the SCART connector, it seems to clear up.

This is not something I've experienced personally, but from feedback from
people I've sold various kit to.

I have to say tho, even in the age of flat panels and plasmas, a good Microvitec
1451 still gives a bleedin' good picture!

Mark.

  Hello,

If I connect a BBC B computer with a 15" LCD television via the SCART-plug

(of course with resistors to bring down the voltage level), will I be able
to read

text on the screen in 80-character modes? In other words what will be the
quality

of the image on the screen?

  Kind regards,

  Peter Janssen
