Whoops, sorry Mike, you'll get this twice. Why on earth does reply

I'm working on getting the 2000 running, but all my models have short
cables - the 500 and both 5000s. Also, no-one has ever answered this
- I know the 3000 expander was a 5000, but what was changed in it?
Was it the same board with a different ROM (I don't now recall if I
saw a ROM in there), different links? What makes it into a 3000 other
than the 3000 modules in software?!

I have software and two AMPLE ROMs of which I have the key for one.
The keys, I'm just sick of changing - I'd be more inclined to buy a
bag of brand new keyswitches and change the whole lot so they never
fail on me again! If I dig I might have the keyboard I was scavenging
keys from, but a lot of my retro kit is packed away at the moment -
the Hybrid setup, CX5M and AlphaSyntauri got left out in order to
finish an article.

Also, I have a C64 running Prophet64 music sequencer - a 2006
Cartridge with SID synths and sequencer and the ability to drive dual
SID configuration. Now that's a nice little bit of hardware - need to
make a protected dual SID circuit to drop straight into the mixer
though :D
