Hi guys

Just a note to say thanks for the info on the power supplies.
The 18vAC 600mA adaptor from the local electronics store works a treat - 
sure, I can't actually do anything with the Electron coz I don't even 
have a tape player but at least I know it works now :)
And if I find another one without a power supply I know where to get one 
from ..
