Oh, I thought you meant the Master wouldn't boot at all with the
cartridge in.  Plug it in, power up, and type *ROMS.  This should help
you identify it - it'll be in slot 0,1,2 or 3 depending on which
cartridge slot you've chosen to plug it into.  If it reports, for
instance, "VDU" then try a *HELP VDU to see if it has additional
commands.  *HELP, *HELP . and *HELP .. are sometimes useful for getting
lists of the * commands available from fitted ROMs.

If there's no response to *HELP, try *FX142,n where n is the ROM slot
number given by *ROMS above to jump straight into it - if it's a
language ROM, it'll run whatever it's intended to run then.
