Not quite. WinNT was the first non DOS based OS from Microsoft and was first
released way back circa 1994 with v3.1, then came v3.5 closely followed by
3.51. Then came NT 4.0 and then NT 5.0 which was renamed Windows 2000. Last
week saw the BETA1 release of the follower currently codenamed "Whistler",
and at the moment looks to be more like v5.1 as opposed to a 6.0 - some
quite interesting enhancements though none the less.

pcBBC also has sound problems with Win2K, but with a special driver from the
author will work on WinNT 4.0.
