The files are, but the filing system is not the same, ie the PC filing
system cannot hold the load exec addresses that are needed by the BBC's
filing system. This means that they have to be stored somewhere else in
another form which means programming a work around.

If you think about the above you should get the answer.

Well I'm sure you'll find out. Why don't you read some of the readme files
that are sent distrubuted with the documents - there are often alot of the
details there.
Also on the BBC lives http://www.nvg.ntnu.no/bbc/faq.shtml there is an FAQ
that explains much of this, and also on the 8BS web site
http://www.karoo.net/8bs/filecon.htm there are details of how to use
transferred files.
