About the Software
******************

!LinkFS provides facilities for symbolic links under RISC OS 3. It provides an
image filing system (like DOSFS) so that when a link is used, the image filing
system redirects calls made it to the appropriate 'real' filing system.

Prerequisites
*************

This version of !LinkFS is a 26/32 bit neutral application that requires
a 32 bit compatible version of the Shared C Library. I you do not already
have one installed then it is available from the Iyonix web site at:

  http://www.iyonix.com/32bit/system.shtml

Using the Software
******************

Double clicking on the application loads it onto the iconbar. Any directories
or applications dragged to the icon will cause a save box to pop up containing
an icon for the link. If this is dragged to a filer window, the link has been
made, and may now be used.

The link may be used just as if it were a directory or application, with all
the normal operations being possible. Deleteing the link will *NOT* delete
anything 'inside' it, only the link itself.

Note that, in order to use links without loading the application, the module
contained in the application directory must be loaded, perhaps as part of a
boot sequence.

Planned Future Extensions
*************************

Nothing very much!!

Bugs, Misfeatures and Idoiosyncracies
*************************************

Please note that this application needs RISC OS 3 or later to run. This is
simply because image filing systems don't exist on RISC OS 2!
